Son Jung Wan was born and raised in South Korea.
Majoring in Industrial Craft at Sookmyung Women’s University then, attended design school at International Mode in Seoul.
She then took the fashion into her own hands and opened up a shop in 1989.
The shop, located in her house, was right across the street from a Galleria Department Store.
Thusly prompting the department store to offer her a job.
Her brand grew quickly and in 1993 Son earned the “Golden Needle Award” from the Korea Fashion Editor Association and in 2005, was named “Designer of the Year” by Seoul Metropolitan.
